Cannon River Winery Wins 3 medals at the Indy International Wine Competition

We are proud to announce that Cannon River Winery received three medals from the prestigious 2014 Indy International Wine Competition. Over 2200 wines from around the world were judged. Proud Winners are Sparkle Edelweiss Minnesota,  Mancini's Levee Red, and Honey. These wines are available for puchase. Sangria Recipe

This past weekend we hosted a Three Rivers Wine Trail event called Red, White, and Sangria. We had numerous requests for the Sangria recipe.

4 bottles of GoGo Red wine, 
1 bottle of 7up, 
1 lemon sliced, 
1 lime sliced, 
2 oranges sliced, 
2 bags of frozen berries (strawberries, blue berrries, black berries, and raspberries), 
Ice.  
 
Add all of your fruit to a large pitcher. Add wine, Let flavors soak together for a couple of hours. Right before you are going to serve, add the 7up and ice. Enjoy!

Great River Road Wine Trail

The Great River Road Wine Trail consists of 1 1wineries located near the Mississippi River in MN, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
 
Travel and adventure along this Great River Road are sure to be a part of your enjoyment as you experience the award winning wines and the fruits of our wine making skills.
 
Annual Events:
June Bloom Event~Saturday, June 7 & Sunday, June 8,  2014 from 11:00-6:00 p.m.
Each of the 11 wineries will have their wines pared with local foods.
Tickets will be available for purchase at $25 per person in advance and $30 at the door. A designated driver is $10.  Enjoy a day of sampling award winning wines and delicious food.
 
Holiday Harvest Festival~Saturday, November 8 & Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 11:00-6:00 p.m.
Paring food & wines.
Each of the 11 wineries will have their wine paired with different foods.
Tickets will be available for purchase at $25 per person in advance, $30 at the door. A designated drive is $10. Enjoy a day of sampling award winning wines  and delicious food.
 
Remember  to get a wine trail passport as you travel to all 11 wineries getting it stamp after doing a wine tasting. Completed passports gets you a wine trail logo glass and a chance to win a wine basket with wine from participating wineries.

Cannon River Wines At Saint Paul Winter Carnival

Cannon River Winery is very excited to be an official sponsor of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival! We will also be sponsoring a wonderful Queen of the Snows Candidate this year, Jennifer Westerhaus!

Come visit the Ice Bar which is located in Rice Park, right across from the Ordway Center for the performing arts! You'll be able to sample some of our award-winning Cannon River wines, including Boreas Royal Reserve, Winter Ice and Vulcans' Revenge

The Saint Paul Winter Carnival will run from January 23 - February 2.

Winners of the 2013 Sogn Series Label Contest

Congratulations to the winning artists of the 2013 Sogn Series Label Contest!

Patti Kumm's painting of the an antique grape press will appear on this year's vintage of Sogn Blush.

Leisa Luis Grill's painting of the vineyard will appear on this year's vintage of Sogn Blanc.

Guests can see the winning paintings on display in the winery, so stop in and check them out!

We're so very grateful to all the artists that participated in the contest and hope to see many more fabulous paintings in years to come!
